Not seen every day

It's not every day that you see a boy riding a pigeon.

This is what Victorian children had as a present in the 1870s in a book called "Favourite Picture Book for the Nursery". The accompanying words were written by ALOE - A lady of England - in the days when women weren't supposed to be getting themselves published.
